The Marimba Jam programme at Wynberg Girls’ High School is a vibrant part of our cultural life. We have a dedicated band for each grade, giving learners the opportunity to develop their musical skills, work collaboratively, and experience the joy of performing.
Our school is a busy and dynamic environment, and the Marimba Bands are frequently invited to perform at a variety of school events, showcasing their talent and adding energy and excitement to every occasion. Participation in the programme is highly valued by students, who enjoy being part of the ensemble and contributing to the school’s rich cultural culture.

Marimba Jam has been a valued partner at Springfield Convent for a number of years, providing marimba tuition to our pupils from Grades 4 to 12.
Their programme gives students who may not otherwise see themselves as "musical" the opportunity to experience ensemble music in an accessible and encouraging way.
The school bands are well organised and inclusive, and they consistently perform well in competitions, but most importantly, the programme fosters teamwork, commitment and genuine enjoyment of music among our students.
We have found Marimba Jam to be professional, reliable and highly effective in keeping our pupils engaged and motivated and are very pleased with the contribution they continue to make to music and cultural life at our school.
